Topic: Hybrid Vehicles
Location: Norfolk Fire House
The class is an NFPA project, all participants will recieve certification from NFPA for completion. The class provides responders with the information and resorces needed to deal with hybrid and eletric car incidents. The overview includes:
- identification of hybrid and eletric vehicles
- overview of these vehicles safety systems
- power down procedures
- extrication awareness
- eletric/hybrid fire operations
- emergency ops for battery fire, vehicle submerission, recharging station fires
- access to muliple resources regarding hybrid and eletric vehicles.
